I knew that I was going to be featured in Tatler's Sleigh Bells Bling, but I did not know that the cover was to be graced by Grace. I've always admired the beauty of Grace Kelly - cool, classy and timeless. The article in Tatler hints that her marriage to Prince Rainier may not have been all it was cracked up to be, and that it became more like imprisonment once she could no longer accept acting work. Well, I shall certainly be taking a trip to the flicks to watch the new film about Princess Grace, starring Nicole Kidman.

Working in the studio is a rather solitary affair, but this fluffy creature is my patient companion - sometimes suffering the humiliation of "pet styling"! With his supremely soft fur, hot water bottle body, and overall sense of calm, he forms this perfect contrast to my hammering, soldering, filing of hard metal and tense moments of fiddly stone setting! Thank you Barley.

This was written by a happy client:
I wanted to get a ring to propose to my partner that I wouldn't find anywhere else. After much secretive brain-racking for designs and trying to delete browsing histories I found Ellie's website - and never looked anywhere else. I was so impressed with the way she understood what I wanted to create - it's clear that she has great vision and creativity. She accommodated my request at short notice and the ring she made reflects my partner: gorgeous, unique and a work of art. Thank you so much Ellie :-) I would recommend Ellie's work to anyone.

I love my studio space, and had a moment of struggle in my mind about sharing it, but happily I had the loveliest time teaching over a couple of days. All teaching will be one to one as the studio is set up that way. We soldered, pierced, domed, and set moon stones onto pendants that Susanna will be selling. It was great to talk techniques and to remind myself of some basics, such as tool names, which, because I use them everyday, but don't discuss them had flown from my brain (maybe that says a bit too much about me though!!).

I love my studio in the quirky and beautiful Frome. It is my haven of peace and creativity - well apart from when I am hammering thick bits of metal wire - it then becomes my haven of stress relief!
Tools of the trade - hammering, stretching, doming
Oh yes - lovely shiny bits of steel #dapping_block
